i've always lived a little bit inside my own head.
even as a kid, my imagination was my safe place. i used to sell handmade cards to my classmates before i really understood why, i just knew that the right words, at the right moment, could mean everything to someone. then came the practical years. the sensible jobs, the safe choices, the life that looked fine but never quite felt like mine. but my 30s had a way of shaking things loose. so i left what didn't fit, and i built this instead.
here's what it is.
ugh. feelings. is a human-centered brand, based in islamabad, that helps you say the things that are hardest to say out loud. i hand-draw everything on procreate, print locally, and pack each order myself, but the real thing i'm making isn't paper. it's permission. permission to be sentimental, to be awkward, to feel deeply and actually admit it.
i write these cards the way we really talk, in that mix of urdu and english that lives in our heads, about the things we rarely say straight to someone's face. the awkward love. the complicated family. the friendships that hold us together. the grief we carry quietly. the faith that keeps us going.
because i think human connection is the whole point. not the rushed text or the forwarded message, the real thing. the said thing. the written down, handed over, i thought of you and meant it thing.
and this is just the beginning. cards for now, and more to come, because there are a hundred ways to help someone feel seen, and i intend to find all of them. i want to make things that feel less like products and more like bridges between people.
so that's what i'm building here. something to help you say the thing, before you run out of time to say it.
feel more human.
